So pretty much all of my review titles are Romance, or UF w/ strong romantic themes. I need a break now & then from my romance heavy reading - and I like Lisa Gardner's books.
D.D. Warren is a strong, no-nonsense cop who's not exactly the most likable character. But she's tough, persistent, and I like the way the author writes.
I find the POV switches from the wife's POV to DD's to be a little annoying at times, but it's a solid mystery that wasn't entirely predictable.
