If there's an UF series I don't think gets nearly enough love, it's Diana Rowland's Kara Gillian series. All of the characters are drawn incredibly well.. and the subtlety of the writing is magnificent. You don't see it in book 1, 2, or even # 3. But the journey that she takes you on up until Touch of the Demon (book #5) where she turns everything inside out is downright marvelous.
I don't have complete and utter faith in too many authors. I've read too many series where the character arcs take a turn for the worse, and you get the "rinse, wash, and repeat" feel of the continuing books. This is not the case here. Everything that happens has a specific purpose and even if I feel a little lost, I have faith that the author will have complete control over the end game when it comes to future novels. *MOAR pls*
