Go ahead and LOL - I won't blame you. But I started reading the Merry Gentry series years ago, and I wanted to see how it ended.
MORE FOOL ME.
I'm not yet 20% of the way in and I'm already horribly bored. There are pages and pages regarding breastfeeding the kids. I'm not against that of course, but it's not germane to the goddamn plot, so it shouldn't take up PAGES and PAGES..
Merry has multiple lovers, I've been on board with that for years - but when the kids are born, they all suffer from a personality switch. Blergh. Oh and all of the kids have some sort of physical feature from all of her men.
I've read all the Merry books and at least half the Anita books, but I don't recall them being this bad. I dunno if it's selective memory.. or if I've read books that are just that much better.. but this is bad. REALLY REALLY BAD.
